Car Crash into KB Front Garden
At 6am on Sunday, July 22, 2018 a woman driving west on Hana Hwy fell asleep and crashed her car into our Paia-side garden at the front entrance to Kuau Bayview. The vehicle hit a large boulder and pushed it into the rock wall after sheering off a 28 foot Pritchardia fan palm that had graced our garden since 1996. All the plants in the car's path were destroyed. The palm apparently landed on the car and the tow truck driver caused even more damage while trying to get the car out. Fortunately, the woman was not injured.
Miraculously, she missed our new Stop sign by mere inches. But then five days later a drunk driver flattened it!
